Licenses provided by DWC

Dubai South Free Zone can provide the following types of licenses:

1. Aviation License: Allows the holder to provide specific aviation-related services.

2. Logistics License: Holders of this license are entitled to provide a range of logistics services, including warehousing, transportation, distribution, sorting, transshipment and customs clearance activities, order management and inventory management.

3. Industrial License: This license allows the holder to engage in light manufacturing activities such as mixing, blending, purifying, assembling, molding, repackaging or packaging products.

4.General Trade License: Commercial companies engaged in importing, trading and re-exporting permitted goods can obtain this license. Certain trading activities may require special approval, which can be obtained by obtaining a no-objection certificate from the relevant departments.

5. Education License: This license entitles the holder to provide educational and social services, educational and training programs, and educational consultancy services.

6.Trade License: Holders of a trade license are entitled to import, export, sell, distribute and store items specified in the license. However, it is important to note that free zone companies holding trade licenses can only sell finished products through local distributors or commercial agents who are legally registered in the UAE market.

7.Service License: This license allows the holder to provide the services specified in the license in free zones and elsewhere in the UAE (although additional local licenses may be required in some emirates). Service licenses are issued to free zone businesses that support the logistics industry and cover services such as consultancy, software, training, maintenance and catering.
